Buttons have played a crucial role in accessorizing queer culture and history. They were worn to show pride, mark protests, support movements, identify allies and champion change. No one understands that more than Adrian Cardwell, the director of Badge of Pride, a new nonprofit history organization. Adrian has amassed a collection of more than 10,000 LGBTQ-themed buttons from around the world. We’ll showcase some of his favorites along with all of the buttons from our archive. You’ll also take home your own YesterQueer and Badge of Pride buttons (while supplies last). See you next week!
